Top Ten Tuesday (2): Books I'd Want on a Deserted Island

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This was really, really hard to decide. Besides considering the length of time I would be stranded, I also was to know if I'll be alone or not. If my husband isn't there, it sure changes my desire to read anything romantic. So I'm imagining my husband is with me, because I'm going to assume we were traveling together.

Top Ten Books I'd Want On A Deserted Island

1. My Bible
It's the perfect book and guide. Need I say more?

2. An Island to Oneself by Tom Neale
Haven't read it but I imagine his story would be very inspiring in my situation.

3. Jane Austen's collective works
Maybe this is cheating, but they'd be in one large book, so it's okay.
I need Jane's books. Pride & Prejudice if I had to choose one.

4. Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
A wonderful series, and something I could read over and over under a palm tree.

5. Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
Okay, so this really is cheating, but how do you pick just one?

Study Bible: NIV   An Island to Oneself: The Story of Six Years on a Desert Island   Pride and Prejudice

The Chronicles of Narnia   Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)

6. Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery
Apparently I can't help myself with the series. This is one of my favorites.

7. Slammed & Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover
I just love these books and characters.

8. Significance series by Shelly Crane
Romance and adventure. Although if no hubbie with me, I may have to reconsider.

9. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
This book is like an addiction.

10. The Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Reading about aliens on an island sounds like a good time to me.

Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1)   Slammed (Slammed, #1)   Significance (Significance, #1)

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1)   Obsidian (Lux, #1)

  3. Oh yes.... Obsidian. I haven't read Beautiful Disaster yet. I've read mixed reviews on this one. I'm still thinking if I should read it. Plus, I'm not into contemporaries, not really.

  5. I think I need to read some Armentrout - everyone's talking about her books and I don't know them at all.
