About THE FOXE & THE HOUND

When your life is a hot mess at twenty, it’s cute. At twenty-seven…well, not so much.
It’s just that my lofty dreams—making it as a real estate agent, paying rent on time, showering daily—have stayed just that: dreams. Oh, and love? I’ve decided love might be a little ambitious for me at the moment. Instead, I’ve settled for the two guys who will never leave me: Ben & Jerry.

That is, until Dr. Adam Foxe takes up residence as the town’s new vet.

With his strong jaw, easy confidence, and form-fitting scrubs, it’s not long before every housewife in Hamilton is dragging neglected tomcats in for weekly checkups.

Like everyone else, I’m intrigued. Even after I spoil my chance at a good first impression, he still offers me a proposition I can’t refuse: play his girlfriend at a family function and he’ll hire me as his real estate agent. Welcome to love in the 21st century.

It’s too bad I underestimated Adam’s irresistible charm and the undeniable attraction that burns between us. The day he pins me to the wall and silences me with a kiss, the line between reality and ruse begins to blur. Every teasing touch brings me to my knees. Every kiss promises more.

It looks like my hot mess of a life is about to get a little hotter.

New Release & Review: The Bohemian and the Businessman by Katy Regnery

The Bohemian and the Businessman
By Katy Regnery
(Blueberry Lane #4, The Story Sisters #1)
April 24, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance 18+
Contains: language, explicit sex

Priscilla Story, the self-proclaimed “wild child” of the straight-laced Story clan, has always had a knack for getting herself trouble. Except this time, her “growing problem” is going to require a Daddy sooner than later…or she can kiss her inheritance good-bye.

Shane Olson, who previously dated Priscilla’s sister, Margaret, isn’t opposed to a marriage of convenience for the sake of furthering his business interests, but Priscilla – with her wild ways – is just about the last woman he’d choose to marry.

In order to make the marriage look convincing, they end up having to spend more time together than they’d originally planned. When rolling stone, Priscilla, who lives by the seat of her muu-muu, and seriously-ambitious Shane, who’s had his whole life planned since he was eleven, start falling for each other, it’s going to take a whole lot of compromise for this Bohemian and her Businessman to find their happily ever after

*This is the first standalone in the Story Sisters series.

Wowzers! I completely fell in love with Priscilla and Shane's story! If you are looking for a break from manwhores and want to fall in love with a spectacular guy, look no further. Shane may very well be my favorite hero of Katy Regnery's.

I wasn't sure about how this story would play out from the synopsis. I mean, we've got Priscilla pregnant and Shane recently dating her sister, and then their plan for a marriage of convenience. There was a lot of room for things to go very wrong in this scenario. But let me tell you, everything went right. The chemistry in the beginning bloomed into a thing of beauty. Priscilla and Shane were absolutely perfect for each other. Priscilla was this beautiful, gentle free spirit and Shane was an absolute gentleman with a fierce protective streak. I loved watching their relationship develop. Their honesty allowed them to be real, to shine a light on their faults, to develop into better versions of themselves, and in that, to be the perfect match for the other. They accepted each other yet also challenged the other to be their better self. And ultimately they were the support, the acceptance, the family, and the home they hadn't even known they needed, but now couldn't live without. Seriously, I loved this story. I didn't want to put it down. And Shane, sweet, wonderful Shane! I just loved him so much! I can't even talk about all the things I loved about Priscilla and Shane because I don't want to spoil it. Sorry, I'm officially rambling. But this story just made me so happy!!

On April 27, THE BOHEMIAN AND THE BUSINESSMAN will be available exclusively on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited!

Novella Review: Avenged by Jay Crownover

Avenged by Jay Crownover
March 21, 2017
110 pages
Genre: Contemporary Romance 18+
Contains: language, explicit sex

New York Times bestselling author Jay Crownover brings heat and heart to Liliana Hart’s MacKenzie family with AVENGED…

Girl meets boy…

On the worst night of her life when she’s decided to take a drastic step that there is no going back from.

Girl is used to sitting by, letting fate deal cruel hand after cruel hand to good people with soft hearts and she’s had enough.

Girl thinks it’s time to fight back against fate and against men who aren’t careful with all the precious things a woman in love has to give him.

Fate shows girl who’s boss and turns her world and plans upside down without breaking a sweat.

Boy meets girl…

On the best night of his life when he’s decided that he’s going to make moves to be the man he was always meant to be instead of the man he was trained and conditioned to be.

Boy is used to a solitary life, quiet in the woods and knowing the only thing that might be looking for him is trouble and trouble is no longer his stock in trade.

Boy thinks it’s time to show trouble who’s boss, even if this trouble has big blue eyes and a body made to make men stupid. Trouble only gets the upper hand if the boy falls prey to its temptation.

Trouble turns the boy’s quiet, serene life sideways without any effort.

Trouble is fun and fate has a wicked sense of humor when it comes to this boy meeting this girl.

'Avenged' was a fun crossover between Crownover's The Point series and The Saints of Denver series. And though it takes place in the Mackenzie World (which I have not read before), you really don't have to have read any of the other books in these series to enjoy this novella.

This is essentially the story of two people who were not "good" people before, and are now on the road up. They've hit bottom. They've decided to make a go at being better people. But that doesn't mean old habits and temptations are not out of reach. And danger lingers. But a chance meeting between these two strangers gives them not only the hope they desperately need, but the love they didn't even know existed. Benny and Echo were intriguing, vulnerable, redemptive, and sexy. This was a fun little novella.
