Top Ten New To Me Authors of 2012

There is a huge list of authors who are new to me, regardless of whether they themselves are new authors or not. I actually had to use my Goodreads account to assist me in making this list and had a hard time keeping to ten only.

1. Melina Marchetta
Saving Francesca, The Piper's Son, On the Jellicoe Road
She is simply amazing!

2. Tahereh Mafi
Shatter Me, Destroy Me, Unravel Me
Just wow!

3. John Green
The Fault in Our Stars
Need I say more?

4. Abbi Glines
Sea Breeze series (Breathe, Because of Low, While It Lasts, Just For Now)
She sure knows how to write bad boy drama.

5. Stacey Kade
The Ghost and the Goth series
I was so happy to find this gem of a trilogy.

On the Jellicoe Road   Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)   The Fault in Our Stars

Because of Low (Sea Breeze, #2)   The Ghost and the Goth (The Ghost and the Goth, #1)

6. Colleen Hoover
Slammed and Point of Retreat
Pure awesomeness.

7. R.L. Mathewson
Neighbors from Hell series & Pyte/Sentinel series
I love both these series.

8. Katie McGarry
Pushing the Limits
This is a must read.

9. Wendy Higgins
Sweet Evil
I can't wait to read more.

10. Fisher Amelie

I fell in love with her characters.

  2. Great list... John Green is amazing (I couldn't have him on my list because he wasn't "new" to me. lol). I'm going to look into the ones that aren't already on my TBR list. :)

  6. Katie McGarry and John Green are both on my list! I really liked The Ghost and the Goth. I haven't read the other two books in the series yet, but I definitely want to. I loved Alona - such a great character.

    1. The rest of The Ghost and the Goth books are great. I think each book is better than the one before. Loved the ending.
