Feature & Follow (8): Blogging/Writing Resolutions

FF 2012 Feature & Follow #120

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by both Alison Can Read and Parakunkee’s View. This is a great way to gain blog followers for book bloggers, follow other blogs, and get to know each other. Each week a different question is posted by our hosts and we get to answer. You can find more info about this meme here.

Q: What New Years Blogging or Writing resolution have you placed on yourself?

For blogging: I'm a new blogger, so I can't really think of anything specific. I just want to keep blogging because I enjoy it. And I want to keep enjoying it. So whatever helps this journey to remain enjoyable is good for me.

For writing: I am still trying to finish a book I started a while ago (my first book). I have a lot of plates spinning in my real life, so it is easy to set writing aside, since at this point it's just a hobby. I'm more than halfway through the first draft, so that feels really good. But I definitely want to finish writing my book this year, if just to relish in the sense of accomplishment.

Also, I've resolved to host my first GIVEAWAY:
Beautiful Creatures and Beautiful Darkness!!

  8. I love what you had to say about wanting blogging to remain enjoyable. I completely agree. I started blogging last March, and I love it. I wasn't sure if it was going to be something I liked, but I do.

  9. Keep that perspective! Blogging should be fun. We do this for free (aka spend money to do it) so if it's not fun it shouldn't happen. Thanks for stopping by! Followed back!

  13. Keep working on your book and keep blogging enjoyable. If at some time you feel that it is not enjoyable anymore, simply take some days to relax. You will return with new ideas.
