DON'T LOOK BACK
Under siege. That's how Ryker Jones feels. The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency he opened up with his blood brothers has lost a client in a brutal way. The past he can't outrun is resurfacing, threatening to drag him down in the undertow. And the beautiful woman he's been trying to keep at arm's length is in danger...and he'll destroy anything and anyone to keep her safe.
Paralegal Zara Remington is in over her head. She's making risky moves at work by day and indulging in an affair with a darkly dangerous PI by night. There's a lot Ryker isn't telling her and the more she uncovers, the less she wants to know. But when all hell breaks loose, Ryker may be the only one to save her. If his past doesn't catch up to them first...
Full of twists and turns you won't see coming, DEADLY SILENCE is New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti at her suspenseful best...
A Blood Brothers Novel
'Deadly Silence' is the first book in the Blood Brothers series, a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series. But you don't need to have read the previous series to follow along with this one. I am new to both these series, and had no trouble engaging with these fascinating characters or the world Rebecca Zanetti has built.
I love a good camaraderie book, and these three brothers had that in spades. The flashbacks to what they survived and the men they've become won my heart. Add in their occupation of finding the lost and solving crimes touched my heart even more. Their desire to seek the truth and justice won me over. Then throw in a great romance, and this story had it all.
Ryker and Zara were a great couple. Zanetti's pacing of revealing the different aspects of not only their relationship, but their individual hang-ups and fears, really enabled me to engage with this couple and clearly see their compatibility and love. I loved them together and especially loved what they brought out of each other. Even the lovely family they created with the brothers and other characters who were added in, really touched me.
This was such an exciting start to this series, and I cannot wait to read what happens next!
Looks interesting! Is there a reason why the woman is in a really nice dress in the middle of the woods, or just marketing trying to make the cover look pretty? Anyway, this sounds like a great read. Thanks for sharing your review!
