Without darkness, there can be no light.

Dean has always been Liv's white knight. Not once has he retreated from battle. Not once has he failed to keep his wife safe. Not once has he broken his promise to slay monsters for her.

Then Dean encounters a monster he can’t destroy. A monster he can’t even face. And for the first time ever, there is nothing he can do to protect the woman who owns his heart.

The love story of Liv and Dean West that started with AROUSE and continued in ALLURE, AWAKEN, and ADORE now comes to a breathtaking conclusion as the professor and his beauty fight the battle of their lives.

I have loved Liv and Dean West from the very start. They have such a gorgeous, complicated history, demonstrating an amazing depth of love. The road has had a number of bumps along the way, but the steadfastness of their love has gotten them through. So here they are, blissfully happy with their two young children, living their life almost in a dream. But when a nightmare hits, their peace is rocked. And with this new monster in their life, Dean the ever-present knight and protector of his family, is tested to a depth he's never faced before, in a situation where he has absolutely no control. And Liv, after surviving and thriving from her past and her own self, faces a demon who pushes her to her limits.

I loved Liv and Dean in this conclusion. Did they frustrate me at times? Sure. But that was okay, because their struggles were real and honest. Unless you've been in their shoes, you don't know how you would handle those same circumstances. So to take this jourey with them, to see them struggle over their future, to watch them fight against external forces, to feel their internal battles as they figure themselves out, and to embrace them as they found themselves again and rejoiced in their love and and their life - all of it was a remarkable journey and Liv and Dean did me proud. They are a remarkable couple and were written beautifully.

Liv impressed with her courage and strength. Dean shone through his fight and determination. Individually, when the blows hit them low and deep, they hit new heights in their characters as they overcame so much. As a couple, they solidified who they were and who they will always be, unwilling to let anything separate them. Additionally, I loved seeing Archer and Kelsey throughout this journey. Their side storyline was the perfect addition to this story, and I'm so glad we got to see the beauty in their own relationship. Plus, seeing Dean and Archer work through their relationship was its own sppecial happy place.

Thank you, Nina Lane, for Liv and Dean West. They may be a fictional couple, but they represent the beauty in relationships, in not giving up, in the amazing treasure of unconditional love. I'm grateful to be in an amazing marriage such as theirs, and I thank you for showing the world that long-lasting marriage can be a truly wonderful thing. I'm only sorry that Liv and Dean's story is over, though in our hearts they will live on.
