My first thought after I finished Book 2 was, "Dang, it's over." I loved being wrapped up in Jack and Darcy's world and their lives. I loved this duet.

With where Book 1 left off, I knew I needed Book 2 right away, to see how everything would be resolved... if it would be resolved. Of course, spoilers are frowned upon. But I will say that some things went the way I thought they would, and other directions of the story went in new ways I hadn't seen coming. I was completely hooked on this story and invested in Jack and Darcy's lives. They definitely had their fair share of stumbling blocks and obstacles. Sadly, they themselves were sometimes their own worst enemies. But with all the struggle, I found myself not only cheering for Jack and Darcy, but getting wrapped up in the lives of the friends and family and pack. And ultimately, I loved where Jack and Darcy ended up.

My only faults with the story were some of Darcy's actions. I tried to give her leeway as the situation she was in was completely crazy, but even with that, she had some truly cringe-worthy moments. But then there was Jack. And I absolutely loved Jack. He's one of my favorite heroes from this author. I wish the epilogue was longer, because I didn't want to let Jack and Darcy go. I truly hope there will be other books in this world. Not only do I want to see Jack and Darcy again, but there are other characters I would love to read about.
