Feature & Follow (6): Cry Baby

FF 2012 Feature & Follow #120

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by both Alison Can Read and Parakunkee’s View. This is a great way to gain blog followers for book bloggers, follow other blogs, and get to know each other. Each week a different question is posted by our hosts and we get to answer. You can find more info about this meme here.

Q: What is the last book that made you cry?
Tell us about the scene...

I don't tend to be a big crier, although I will definitely get emotional feelings while reading books (I'm not completely heartless). I may even consider getting teary-eyed, perhaps shed a few tears. There were two books this year that I remember making me sob like a big old baby - The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher. Yep, cried big, fat, ridiculously embarassing, mounds-of-tissue-needed, sound-effects-included tears at the end of both these books, for entirely different reasons (of which I won't share because it would be way too spoilery - you'll have to read them for yourself).

The Fault in Our Stars   The Opportunist (Love Me With Lies, #1)

  3. Yeah, TFIOS - such a tearjerker. I listed that as one of the books that made me cry too. I haven't read The Opportunist.

  6. Old follower/ I won a copy of Fault in our Stars...I'm going to pull it to front and center for reading! I feel like scrooge this year, so maybe I need to cry again and get it out of my system.
    Happy Reading!

  7. You know I'm a HUGE John Green fan! I loved TFIOS. I remember reading and thinking "wow, I thought this one was going to make me cry like a baby." Well, that was at the half way point - by the 2/3rds mark, I think I finished an entire box of tissues. I'll have to try the Opportunist. Everyone needs a good cry now and again. Lol
